frequencymonsters free radio chicago

This holiday season, frequency monsters will be broadcasting its first radio show to the chicagoland area on the FM dial. the transmission will be a fair 20 mile radius from the southside ov chicago.

The first show will be taped, radio broadcasted and then uploaded to the internet. Platform will consist mainly ov music from diy/internet labels and the frequency monsters collection with hyperspace-futurism propaganda.

In the meantime, I would like to talk with anyone interested in sending out promos or features for the show. From The Frequency Monster, himself

PART ONE:

The frequency monsters project started in the beginning of 2011. The events between Halloween 2010 and January 2011 highly influenced my creative direction. In this short four month period I lost my mind into theoretical physics, string theory, relativity, information and the nature of reality.

Harmless at first. I started to become obsessed. Hallucinating and lucid dreaming happened regularly. The principle of Infinity, electro-magnetism, wave and particle dualities spun my beliefs so hard and I fucking lost it all - my job, mind and friends.

I decided to see a shaman/spiritualist to help ground me. I received some sound advice. But, he knew I was about to short circuit - warned me, I was going to short circuit, “be careful, man, dont short circuit on me.” - And then I did short circuit. (i went away for a couple of weeks in Jan 2011. Words of advice from experience - The Universe/Life/Consciousness is hard to understand. Its a great unknown. Knowing my place, I understand why I am human. or have chosen to be human?)

PART TWO:

I created Frequency Monsters while I was in my longest manic episodes. I thought I understood the universe and was given a divine gift of some type of clairvoyance.  I needed to destroy the establishments of religion and governmental structures that were prohibiting our evolution of consciousness by social barriers/capitalism. This was some heavy shit. I came up with frequency monster as a fight against culture and control. What “tigers blood” and “banging 7 gram rocks” was to charlie sheen, the “monsters” was to me.

Also at this time I was DJing at a local bar on the southside of chicago,in Bridgeport, called Maria’s (A.K.A. Kaplans) and decided to go with the moniker, Frequency Monster. My close friend/DJ Richard Crooks would spun music with me a few times and we called ourselves the frequency monsters. I knew I was crazier than a coconut at this point but we both dug the music and emotionally balanced each other. We made a cacophony of music but loved what we were doing.

PART THREE

Three days ago, i made the first post to the Frequency Monsters blog in what was almost a year. Just short of 12 months. Im happy to say after such a long hiatus it feels good to hunt for new artists and listen to new mixes everyone has been putting out. I have my set-up back in my room and am back to mixing music. I cant wait until I record my first mix and post up on tumblr.

Id like to thank the 20 people that were still following me….. big thanks goto STORY OF ISAAC now CRIM3S, Modern Stalking, Silvaelucens, Indian Giver Yes, and Witch Tapes. Sincerely grateful for your time, tracks and mixes.

I have deleted Los Angeles and New Haven sister pages of the Frequency Monsters. The Frequency Monsters Chicago is now the only monster page and is simply titled “the frequency monsters.”

I hope i am able to update music on a regular basis and introduce people to what I call “internet music.” PICTUREPLANE calls it “witch house,” I call it “internet music.” If anyone would like to contribute to the page or would like their blog added to the links section, message me without haste:) My mission now is to make the Frequency Monsters a daily resource for YOU to visit and then SHARE with the WORLD.
